Interview for ELLE commission price
Just got off the phone with the Commissioning Editor at ELLE magazine UK, who interviewed me for the ELLE commission price. The interview and the announcement of the winner will be in the November issue. I am one out of three selected photographers and the price is to shoot a feature story for the magazine. Am very excited!

Flash assignment
I had to use a flash for this assignment, and as a lover of natural light, this was horrible for me. I felt like the camera was alien in my hand with the flash attached and like it got in the way for the normal, wonderful intimacy I love to feel when photographing.
To make it even more difficult I did not even have a clear idea of what I wanted to photograph. After walking around seemingly endlessly I went to the park where some people (drunk/stoned/homeless and not homeless) hang out by the river. I started talking to Nicholai and his friends, I chatted for quite some time, and stayed while new people came and other left and I photographed the ones who allowed me to. I wish I had gotten better images so I could go and give them to Nicholai and his friends, but there is only one image that was anything to keep and not sure they would like this in the way I do. Will still try to edit again and see if I have any images to give them as thanks. I liked this image because of the way she looks at me. She was actually posing for the camera and playing with the hair looking sexy but her eyes tells a different story.
I also did some other images, I think they feel cheap and cheesy, but there is something in it I like with the mood. I want to work more on this type of images with the imperfection, and very much need to practice using flash.

Århus festival assignment - Nat cabaret
All the great people at the night cabaret made this assignment so fun. Had to chase Henrik, the responsible at Tivoli Frihedens mirror tent, for some time to get permission, but once there they all gave me great access. I felt at home not lot least thanks to the wonderful, charming skater Jean-Pierre in Skating-Willers. It is his Elvis like shadow you see in the fourth picture.
Tight deadline for news
Next assignment we received at 9am and had to hand in at 6pm. A specified news assignment, an appointment with a well known photographer had been booked and we had 20 minutes to get two shots with him.
We also had to hand in two shots for the cultural section of a newspaper, one for the cover and one inside for the article. My assignment was to go to a labyrinth in town at the Århus festival area.
And lastly I had 40 min to shoot a street scene at the Århus festival. Every year there are children queuing to play in the big, transparent balls in the river in town, so I shot that.
..then I biked to a café to email the images before 6 pm.
